NEBY 2010: EACH & EVERY ONE is sponsored by the Regional Bahá'í Council of the Northeastern States.
The Northeast Regional Bahá'í Youth Conference was founded in March 1998 (NERBY) by the first Youth Committee of the Northeast as a result of a handful of invigorated youth who wrote this letter to The Regional Bahá'í Council:
"In answer to the call from the Universal House of Justice in the 4 year plan of "advancing the process of entry by troops," we, the youth of the Northeastern region who have attended the 14th Annual DC Conference have collectively devised a plan of action in which we will try to initiate, encourage and support each other's teaching and deepening efforts. We are comprised of 29 youth from the NY, MA, ME and CT areas.
It is with great reverence and humbleness, that we approach this newly elected Institution [The Regional Bahá'í Council] with our blueprint to aid the current teaching enterprise, which has greatly inflamed in us the love for This Most Great Cause."
The first official NEBY was in 2000 in New Jersey and the theme was "Intoning the Verses of God"!
